Non-Refundable Deposit Policy
Business name: Bar of Steel
Policy type: Private and business bookings
Bar of Steel may require a non-refundable deposit to secure private bookings, corporate bookings, business events, parties, weddings, and other mobile bar hire services.
A booking is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received and accepted by Bar of Steel.
Deposit requirement
The deposit amount will be confirmed at the time of booking and may vary depending on the type of event, date, location, duration, staffing requirements, and services requested.
Payment of the deposit confirms that the customer accepts this policy and agrees to the booking terms provided.
Non-refundable deposit
Deposits are non-refundable once paid.
This is because the deposit secures the date and may cover administration, planning, staffing arrangements, preparation, stock ordering, travel planning, and the turning away of other potential bookings for the same date.
Changes to bookings
Where possible, Bar of Steel will try to accommodate reasonable changes to a booking, such as changes to event times, venue, guest numbers, or service requirements.
Changes are subject to availability and may result in additional charges.
Cancellation by the customer
If a customer cancels a confirmed booking, the deposit will not be refunded.
Any additional cancellation charges, outstanding balances, or costs already incurred may also be payable depending on the booking agreement.
Cancellation by Bar of Steel
If Bar of Steel has to cancel a booking due to circumstances within our control, the customer will be offered either:
an alternative date, subject to availability; or
a refund of any deposit paid.
This does not apply where cancellation is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, venue access issues, unsafe working conditions, licensing restrictions, power failure, emergency situations, or events beyond our control.
Final balance
Any remaining balance must be paid by the date agreed in the booking confirmation. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in the booking being cancelled, and the deposit will remain non-refundable.
Customer acknowledgement
By paying a deposit, the customer acknowledges that the deposit is required to secure the booking and understands that it is non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing by Bar of Steel.
